  1. I’m personally a fan of http://foodforlifeph.webs.com/

when we were kids we attended a Krishna temple outside of Manila (all the members were Filipino!) and they would always give away free food to everyone in the area. That charity is also run by the same sect. Another good one I’ve heard about from activist friends on the west coast is NAFCON which sends money to local and indigenous folks

[[ helpful information for our Filipino friends and family… Currently, the Philippines is subjected once again by a typhoon ( internail name Fung-Wong aka Mario … Many are submerged in flood water, damaging their houses and livelihood. Instinctively, we (Filipinos abroad) want to help and be proactive in our respective Filipino communities which is very commendable. Before you act, educate yourself on where your precious time and hard earned money will go. That it will reach the people who needs it most. This is just a friendly reminder]]
